Hi, I'm Lars. Discover the Netherlands from the air

I fly in my spare time out of Lelystad Airport. Hop in and share the cost of an unforgettable sightseeing flight. No commercial crew, just an enthusiastic pilot taking you up personally.

  • Flying as a hobby
  • Only in clear, good weather
  • Departing from Lelystad Airport

About me

Flying is how I get to see the Netherlands all over again

Curious, entrepreneurial and always interested in how things work. I live and work in Amsterdam and fly myself in my free time. Flying combines two things I love: discovering new places and seeing the world from above.

I'm not a commercial pilot, and that's exactly the point. You fly along with me, in the aircraft I build my own hours in, on a day the weather allows it.

PH-SCT

  • Max. 3 passengers
  • Cruise speed ± 195 km/h
  • Max. take-off weight ± 1,055 kg
  • Endurance up to ± 5 hours
  • €213 per flight hour, fuel included — shared between us

Classic Cherokee looks with the rounded spinner and the original 1980s instrument panel. Great visibility from the left seat, my favourite for photos above the Amsterdam canal ring.

The younger generation: streamlined cowling with a conical spinner, a more modern interior and an updated instrument panel. A little more comfortable on the longer routes towards Texel and the Wadden Sea.

Example flights

These are a few of my favourite routes, but we can always come up with something else together

Every flight departs from Lelystad Airport, is flown visually in good weather, and works on shared costs: you share the cost with me.

What does a flight cost?

Work out roughly what a flight costs per person, based on the aircraft, the number of passengers and the flight time.

Flight time 1 hour × €213.00
€213.00
Landing fee
€35.00
Total
€248.00
Shared between 3 people (including me)
€82.67 p.p.

Indicative. The actual flight time determines the cost. At airfields other than Lelystad the landing fee may differ.

Something else in mind? Just call or email

From Lelystad I can fly to almost anywhere in the Netherlands within my range (and a little beyond). No form, no booking system. You get me on the phone and we think through the route, timing and your share of the cost together.

See the custom flight

I fly for pleasure, not commercially. The flight only goes ahead in clear, good weather.

Why we only fly on the finest days

I fly visually. That means I need good weather: enough visibility and a high enough cloud base. In daylight, without low cloud and without thunderstorms.

If the weather is in doubt I decide at the latest 12 uur in advance whether the flight goes ahead. If we cancel because of weather, we simply agree on a new date. For your safety a flight never departs when conditions aren't good enough.

The upside: that's exactly why the view is so good. By definition you fly on a clear day.

Current flying weather

Can we get airborne today?

Live weather reports from the airfields along our routes. Visibility, wind and cloud decide whether we can fly visually. This is exactly what I look at myself.
