About this sightseeing flight
Right after take-off Flevoland unfolds below you like a chessboard of dead-straight ditches, roads and fields. Only from above do you see how cleverly this land was engineered and how young it all is. We fly over the Oostvaardersplassen, one of the best known nature reserves in the Netherlands, and past the marinas and the Batavia shipyard of Lelystad itself.
Then we cross the Markermeer towards the Marker Wadden, the new archipelago that rose from the water in just a few years. Along the way we also pass Urk, the former island that you can still clearly recognise as an island in the polder landscape from the air. An ideal first sightseeing flight or a great gift for someone from the region.
