Invite someone to fly along

Want to surprise someone by flying together above the polders, canals or Wadden Sea? You are not buying a flight or voucher; you are inviting someone to join when I fly one of my regular routes.

A personal invitation

No commercial flights or vouchers are sold. I decide which private flight I fly and when; you can join me. Afterwards everyone on board including me splits the actual direct costs equally.

Taking someone along as a birthday gift

For a birthday that stands out. Instead of another dinner or gift card you fly along on one of my routes over the Netherlands. A birthday you won't soon forget.

A flight as a retirement gift

After a lifetime of work someone deserves a special send-off. Together above the polders, the coast or their own workplace. A retirement celebrated with a story to tell instead of a clock or a bouquet.

For an aviation enthusiast

For someone who loves flying or aviation. Not a passenger in the back but up front beside me with a view of the instruments and the horizon. An experience as close to real flying as it gets.

See your own home or city from above

For someone who would love to see the Netherlands from a new perspective. Choose from the routes I regularly fly from Lelystad.

How it works

There is no webshop, advance payment or voucher system. Call or email me and tell me whom you would like to invite and which of my routes appeals to you. I will let you know when I plan to fly it again and whether you can join.

Because I fly privately, the final route and go-ahead depend on weather, airspace, aircraft and my decision as pilot in command. We therefore keep arrangements flexible; a flight or particular route is never guaranteed.

One of the routes I fly myself, such as Amsterdam, Rotterdam or Texel

Practical

The indicative share is roughly €63 to €145 per person with three fellow flyers, depending on route and flight time. This is not a ticket price: after the flight we split the actual flying-club rental and landing fees equally between everyone on board including me as the pilot.

We only fly in clear and calm weather. A date therefore isn't guaranteed on the day; we plan ahead and keep a few reserve slots in hand. It helps to agree this with the recipient in advance so it stays a gift and not a disappointment.
